Gowna village is at the heart of Cavan’s coarse fishing, sitting on the shores of the lake so famous for its bream, roach and hybrids. The great thing about Lough Gowna is the nooks and crannies that provide peaceful fishing and a section of shoreline to suit everyone. Noted sections are Church Lake, Dernaferst, Corfree, Stretton’s and Leonard’s Shore.
