Town Lake, Killeshandra

This big water is very popular and there are always at least a handful of eager anglers on the bank from spring until late August. In years gone by it has produced pike to over 30lb and there is every chance that fish that size are still preset and just waiting to be caught, especially with the huge amounts of fodder fish that are swimming about. Bank space is goo but while most anglers drive into the car park and fish along the front bank, many of the bigger catches of bream have been taken further along the footpath. Expect a variety of fish and good nest of bream if you are willing to pre-bait, or at least make a dawn start.
