The house has a scenic outlook to the front and sides. A 2 minute walk up the hill to the rear will be rewarded with a spectacular view across Lough Muckno and the surrounding countryside.
Just a few yards from Lough Muckno, about half a mile from the vibrant centre of Castleblayney and 600 metres from the 18 hole championship Concra Wood Golf Course and its Country Club.
The house has eight bedrooms including doubles, twins, family rooms and a self-catering apartment. Guests have the use of a comfortable sitting room. Packed lunches can be provided.
Our self-catering apartment is a separate annexe and has 3 bedrooms. There is a ShowerRoom/WC and a kitchen/diner. One bedroom can be configured as a TV lounge on request. The apartment sleeps up to 4 adults
Local fishing information
Lough Muckno is renowned for coarse fishing. There are hundreds of pegs available and the lake has huge stocks of fish including bream, rudd, roach, hybrids, tench, perch and pike.
Muckno also hosts 6 annual fishing festivals and championships. There are many other lakes nearby, Gas Lake, Mill Town Lough, Smith’s to name a few with both pike fishing and coarse fishing
