Friendly accommodation in a purpose built dormer bungalow

There are three spacious family rooms, all with ensuite shower facilities. One room is specifically designed for wheelchair access. We also offer a cosy and warm atmosphere, with an open turf fire.

Dún Cromáin offers excellent hospitality and excellent food. A varied breakfast menu is available including a full Irish breakfast, a vegetarian selection, homemade brown bread and scones. Complimentary tea/coffee and biscuits are also available all day in the guest dining/sitting room.

All bedrooms are equipped with a television, hair dryer and clock/radio alarm.

Local fishing information

Banagher, located in County Offaly along the River Shannon, is a fantastic spot for fishing enthusiasts. The area is well-known for coarse fishing, particularly for species such as bream, roach, hybrids, perch, pike, and tench. The Shannon here is wide and deep, with good access points and well-maintained fishing stands.

Fishing Spots Around Banagher
River Shannon – Offers excellent coarse fishing, especially for bream and roach, with some prime spots near the town bridge and around the marina.
Meelick Weir & Eyrecourt – Just downstream from Banagher, this area provides good access for pike and perch fishing.
Shannon Harbour – A short drive away, this spot has great potential for tench, hybrids, and pike, with comfortable fishing stands.
Lough Derg (near Portumna) – A bit further downstream, this large lake offers excellent pike fishing along with great perch and trout opportunities.
Grand Canal (Cloghan & Shannon Harbour) – Ideal for tench and roach, with calm waters that suit more relaxed fishing.
