Connolly’s have two self catering properties
One property is a two bedroom (one double and a single) and perfect for two anglers, though there is a foldaway bed available for a third guest.
The second property is a four bedroom, 1800 sq ft house.
Bright and airy, the generous proportions of the rooms offer comfort and style in which to relax after the rigors of a busy angling session. Set in beautiful countryside, this property has wooden floors throughout the open plan living area. Light and spacious, the apartment is tastefully decorated and carefully furnished. The kitchen is fully equipped with all modern appliances, including microwave, washer and dryer. The main bathroom is tiled throughout and fitted with shower and bath. The pub is a one minute stroll to the pub along a private path.
Doohamlet is midway between Castleblayney and Ballybay.
Local fishing information
Lough Muckno, Lough Major and a host of fine fisheries
This part of the county is outstanding for its coarse fisheries.
Famous Muckno provides a challenging shoreline for every day of your holiday but there’s a host of other fine fisheries including Ballybay’ s Lough Major, well known for its bream and roach. Tench certainly feature strongly on the Dromore River system along with bream, hybrids and some lively large pike.
