A welcoming village pub hotel in the heart of Cavan’s lake district
The Breffni Arms knows how to look after fishermen who get a choice of BB or evening meal, bed and breakfast.

There is a bait delivery service, tackle facilities and guided tour of the lakes.
There are 13 spacious en-suite bedrooms, all with TV, phone, hairdryer, computer point and tea/coffee making facilities.
Food and drinks are served in both the bar and the restaurant and there’s live music on Friday and Saturday with dancing on Sunday.

Local fishing information
The village is surrounded by prolific lakes such as Hollybank where the fishing in the past three years has been exceptional and included bream to 7lb.
A short drive in one direction is Gulladoo with its mix of bream, roach, hybrids, pike and perch, while the other road goes to the mighty Gowna complex of lakes.
Eamonn’s advice is to come armed with plenty of bait and big keepnets!
The Breffni Arms is now regarded as the hub for match angling in Cavan.
