breamIrish Specimen Fish Committee

Founded in 1953 the ISFC is an independant voluntary body. The committee consists of representatives from the Government Departments and official organisations interested in angling. Its objective is to verify, record and publicise the capture of trophy fish (ie specmen fish) on rod and line in Irish waters. The committe also ratifies Irish record rod-caught fish and a list of “Specimen Fish” is published annually by the Committee. Special mention must be made of the care and effort demonstrated by the Specimen Fish Committee while creating and publishing this very important annual report – a job well done!
