Church Shore, Garadice Lake, County Leitrim

Church Shore is a very popular stretch of Garadice with plenty of room and a chance of lively sport, though it rarely lives up to its true potential. Anglers who have pre- baited then stayed put on the swims for a two days have enjoyed catching lots of bream, hybrids, roach and tench. However, for those who dawdle over breakfast then meander to the lake in time for 10am are probably going to struggle a little and should be happy if they catch 20lb of fish. Garadice is Leitrim’s largest popular fishery and there are several spots providing more consistent and bigger catch returns – particularly Haughton’s Shore and Connolly’s Shore.
