The Fishing – Boyle River, Lough Gara, Lough Key and River Shannon
There is exciting fishing all around Boyle, some very well known and others waters rarely fished yet provide great sport for bream, roach, hybrids, tench, pike and perch. Places like Drumharlow Lake where the roach and bream are scale-perfect, or the little known Fin Lake for

tench. Oakport lake is a very nice lake located 6 miles northeast of Boyle beside the village of Cootehall.  Fishing is into 10 feet of water and the lake has bream to 5 lbs, roach rudd and hybrids.
