Banagher is a small town on the banks of the River Shannon and the Old Forge is central to everything. It is a delightful town house 200 yards from the river, located on the main street and a short stroll to several pubs and restaurants. The perfect location for anglers who enjoy the peace and quiet while have the chance to catch quality tench, bream, roach, hybrids, rudd and pike on several sections of the river. About 10 miles away is the River Brosna and Grand Canal
Ray is a keen angler and out fishing at least once a week and he is also a fishing tackle dealer and a bait stockist with a shop on site. There are boats and engines for hire. Apart from willingly giving advice to his customers, Ray takes first-time guests on a tour of the local fisheries.
