The Fishing – Lough Muckno and Gas Lake
Muckno is now the target water for lots of anglers who have never been to Monaghan and the attraction is easy access along specially built stone track and parking close to many permanent swims where you can catch just about anything that swims. Gas Lake is also nearby and upstream of Muckno – both produce good sport with plenty of bream, an increasing number of large hybrids, plus roach, perch and pike. A perfect venue for anglers visiting Ireland for the first time and only an hour from the ferryport.
