Big roach are the main feature of fishing on the River Shannon and a lot of quality sport and action comes from the from quality fishing platforms (about 40) on the Mudflats. Cloonahee Lake was another productive water, along with the increasingly popular Hill Street Lakes. Not far away is the Shannon-Erne Waterway and new opportunities for everyone to catch fish. Expect big tench on Lough Aduff, quality bream and roach on Drumharlow – and choose from 41 within a six-mile radius, open all year, free of charge and loaded with tench, rudd, roach, bream, pike and perch.
