Two modern apartments located in Gowna Village within a five minute stroll to local restaurants and bars. Each apartment has two bedrooms with two single beds in each room and a separate bath/shower room. The kitchen-cum-living room has full facilities plus TV and complimentary Wi-Fi. The accommodation is located over and behind a small supermarket and garage with spacious outbuilding for tackle and bait. Guests have private access to a shoreline on Lough Gowna, which is 100mts away. The two apartments are both ideal for two or three anglers, but can take four guests.
Gowna was among the favourite waters of the late Hugh Gough and he said this: “The little village is situated in south Cavan and it is surrounded by a maze of lovely lakes collectively called Lough Gowna, which form the headwaters of the River Erne system”. Today the fishing is better than ever with great shoals of bream, roach, hybrids, tench, pike and perch that will respond to all angling methods.
A private shoreline on Lough Gowna for anglers staying in the apartments is being made available for anglers and it is an area that does produce bream, roach and hybrids.
