The number of angling waters within a few miles of Killeshandra is unbelievable and the quality of the sport is terrific – and no licences required. Tench have become a big feature on local lakes, while bream, roach, hybrids, pike and perch, can be caught everywhere. Angling maps and advice provided. Local boat hire can be arranged if desired. Killeshandra could almost have been designed with the angler in mind. On the eastern side is Lough Oughter a complex of waters with well known venues such as Rann, Fox Holes, and Killykeen. Some of the other excellent lakes that have proven record catches are Tullyguide, Town, Bawn, Dereskit, Rockfield and  a favourite is Glasshouse.
