Cruise & Fish

Cruise and Fish while explore Ireland’s vast water system from the comfort of a cruiser. Carrick Craft offers an extensive fleet of cruisers – with seven different classes – all fully fitted with every facility needed to ensure cruising is made easy and enjoyable.

All cruisers have a well designed fully-fitted galley facilitating easy food preparation for those wishing to self-cater while fishing Ireland’s quiet backwaters. Alternatively there are many pubs and restaurants in the riverside towns and villages which make eating out an enjoyable experience. We strongly recommend that you hire a boat with enough berths without using the saloon.

Marina at Carrick-on-Shannon
The town of Carrick-on-Shannon in the county of Leitrim is justly considered to be the centre of cruising in Ireland. There is a wealth of fishing – much of it on waters that are inaccessible by car – together with the more famous loughs, such as Kilglass and the Inner Lakes, where bream, tench and pike van be enormous.

Marina at Tully Bay
Tully Bay is situated just 12 miles from Enniskillen on the Western shores of Lower Lough Erne and is ideally placed to explore the whole of Lower and Upper Lough Erne that is do famous for its roach, bream an d hybrids. Enniskillen is only a few hours away by boat and then on to Upper Lough Erne and the Shannon/Erne waterway.

Marina at Banagher
The town of Banagher in County Offaly is the location of Carrick Craft’s second Marina Base on the Shannon, an ideal centre for exploring the lower rivers and Lough Derg, the largest lake on the waterway system and home to huge pike and bream.

Am I allowed to fish off the boat?
Yes – Ireland is an angler’s paradise, being superb for bream, roach, rudd, tench, pike, perch and salmon. Fishing dinghies and outboard motors are also available and can be pre-ordered to ensure availability.

Can I pre-order bait?
Bait can be pre-ordered on request. Contact our reservations office for a bait order form. Taking maggots or casters aboard any cruiser is totally prohibited. They may only be kept in the dinghy.
